Livestorm and HubSpot: what the integration syncs, and what to add

Updated 28 October 2026

Livestorm's HubSpot integration sends registrants and attendees to HubSpot, creates a marketing event for each session, and adds engagement to each contact: minutes attended, and how many questions, chat messages and polls the person took part in. Livestorm's documentation lists those as counts. It doesn't say the text of the questions reaches HubSpot, so export the questions from Livestorm and import them if you want to follow up on what each person asked.

Livestorm is a good product for teams that run webinars often, and its HubSpot integration covers attendance and engagement in detail. This guide covers what it sends, what it leaves in Livestorm, how to bring the questions in, and how to follow up. Check each point in your own accounts, since features depend on plans and change over time.

What the integration syncs

DataReaches HubSpot through the integration?
Registrants and attendeesYes. Contacts are created on registration, live attendance or replay view.
Session as a marketing eventYes, including existing upcoming and on-demand sessions
Minutes attended and attendance rateYes, per contact and session
Number of questions, chat messages and pollsYes, as counts per contact and session
Text of each questionNot listed in Livestorm's documentation
Text of chat messages, poll answersNot listed
UTM parameters and registration fieldsYes, mapped to HubSpot contact properties you choose

The question count is useful on its own: a list of attendees with one or more questions is a good first follow-up segment. What the count can't tell you is what they asked, and the question is what a useful follow-up email answers.

Setup notes

  • Livestorm says the integration is available on all its plans, including Free.
  • It syncs registration and attendance from the moment you enable it. For earlier sessions, export from Livestorm and import into HubSpot.
  • You can register people for a Livestorm session from a HubSpot form through a workflow, which needs HubSpot Professional or Enterprise.

Settings that make the questions usable afterwards

  • Registration with a work email. It is what links every question and minute watched to a HubSpot contact.
  • Questions in the Questions tab, not the chat. Livestorm lets attendees upvote questions, and moderators can sort by upvotes or by unanswered.
  • Choose public or private questions. Livestorm can show questions to everyone or only to your team and speakers. Either way, the team sees who asked.
  • Mark questions as answered, in writing or orally, so the export shows which ones still need a reply.

After the session: export the questions

Livestorm lets you export event data from the event dashboard, including registrants, questions and public chat messages, and sends the file by email as CSV, XLSX or ODS. Poll answers come in the registrants export when you include all columns. Livestorm's pricing page lists downloading all questions and chat messages under its Pro and Enterprise plans, so check what your plan includes.

Teams that work with an API can also read each session's questions with the asker and the answer through Livestorm's public API.

Import the questions into HubSpot

  1. Create a contact property such as “Last webinar question” (multi-line text) and one for whether it was answered.
  2. Remove colleagues, speakers and partners from the file.
  3. Import it as contacts, matched by email. Email is HubSpot's unique identifier for contacts, and you can choose to update existing records only.

Each contact who asked something now has the webinar attendance from Livestorm and the text of their question from your import, which is what you need for a personal follow-up.

Follow up by lifecycle stage

Combine three filters in HubSpot lists: the session's marketing event (attended or registered), lifecycle stage, and the question property. Owners of open deals get a task with the question; MQLs and leads get an email that answers it; no-shows get the replay. The guide to following up webinar attendees in HubSpot has the full grid and an example email.

What Livestorm says about CRM sync

Livestorm's own 2026 benchmark report says only 6 to 8% of its customers use native CRM integrations to sync webinar data automatically, based on its survey of B2B go-to-market professionals and its session data. If your integration isn't connected yet, it's worth switching on before the next webinar.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Livestorm HubSpot integration sync Q&A questions?

It syncs the number of questions each contact asked in a session, along with minutes attended and counts of chat messages and polls. Livestorm's documentation doesn't list the text of the questions among the synced data. To follow up on what people asked, export the questions from Livestorm and import them into HubSpot matched by email.

Can I sync past Livestorm sessions to HubSpot?

The integration syncs data from the moment it is enabled. For earlier sessions, export the data from Livestorm and import it into HubSpot.

How Keepstage does this

Keepstage After-Show is post-event intelligence for HubSpot teams. Keep Livestorm and send us the session export. We match every question to the person who asked it and to their lifecycle stage, open deal and owner in your HubSpot. Sales gets the Call Sheet, a follow-up matrix by lifecycle stage in HubSpot, with lists, templates and workflows switched off until you've reviewed them. Product gets Next Act, a ranked list of what attendees asked for, with quotes. A person reviews every item.

Prefer to start without a call? Request a free Questions-only snapshot: send only the questions column of a recent webinar, with no names or emails, and get your top 10 asks within 48 hours. Max 2 per account.
